1. About Syft Influencer

Syft Influencer ("the Service") is operated by OpenMined. The Service provides AI-powered automated direct message responses for Instagram professional accounts. By connecting your Instagram account to the Service, you agree to these Terms.

2. Eligibility

You must have an Instagram professional account (Business or Creator) and the authority to grant third-party access to that account. You must be at least 18 years old.

3. What the Service Does

• Receives direct messages sent to your connected Instagram account via Meta's webhook API
• Classifies incoming messages (e.g., knowledge-base questions, spam, business inquiries, fan mail)
• Generates AI-powered replies to knowledge-base questions using your provided content (e.g., video transcripts, recipes)
• Sends automated replies on your behalf through Meta's Graph API
• Provides an admin dashboard for analytics, message review, and manual intervention

4. Your Responsibilities

• You are responsible for the content used to train the Service's responses (e.g., transcripts, articles)
• You must ensure that automated replies comply with Instagram's Community Guidelines and Terms of Use
• You must not use the Service to send spam, misleading information, or content that violates applicable laws
• You are responsible for monitoring the admin dashboard and handling messages that require manual review

5. Data and Privacy

Our handling of data is described in our Privacy Policy. By using the Service, you consent to the data practices described therein.

6. Instagram Permissions

The Service requests the following Instagram permissions:

• instagram_business_manage_messages — to read incoming DMs and send replies on your behalf

You can revoke these permissions at any time through your Instagram account settings or Meta Business Suite.

7. AI-Generated Content

Replies are generated by AI (Anthropic Claude) based on your provided content. While the Service strives for accuracy, AI-generated responses may occasionally contain errors. You acknowledge that:

• The Service does not guarantee the accuracy of automated replies
• You should review AI-generated responses through the admin dashboard
• OpenMined is not liable for any consequences arising from AI-generated replies sent on your behalf

8. Service Availability

We aim to provide reliable service but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. The Service depends on third-party APIs (Meta, Anthropic) that may experience downtime. We will make reasonable efforts to notify you of planned maintenance.

9. Termination

Either party may terminate this agreement at any time. You can disconnect your Instagram account and stop using the Service. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms. Upon termination, we will delete your data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, OpenMined shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to lost followers, missed business opportunities, or reputational harm from AI-generated replies.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify connected users of material changes via email. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
