When you interact with Syft Influencer, we may store the following data:
Instagram DM content — messages sent to the connected Instagram account
Sender identifiers — Instagram user IDs used for conversation threading
Message embeddings — vector representations generated for semantic search
Instagram access tokens — encrypted tokens used to send replies via Meta's Graph API
2. How to Request Deletion
You can request deletion of your data in two ways:
Automatically — remove Syft Influencer from your connected apps via Instagram or Facebook settings (see section 4). This triggers automatic deletion of your data.
By email — send a request to info@openmined.org with your Instagram username and a description of the data you want deleted.
3. What Happens After Your Request
Once a deletion request is received:
All message data associated with your account will be deleted within 30 days
All message embeddings stored in our vector database will be removed
All stored access tokens for your account will be revoked and deleted
Aggregated, anonymized analytics data may be retained, as it cannot be linked back to individual users
If your deletion was triggered automatically via Meta, you can check its status at: /data-deletion?id=<your confirmation code>
4. Revoking Access
You can disconnect Syft Influencer from your Instagram or Facebook account at any time:
Go to Instagram Settings > Apps and Websites and remove Syft Influencer
Or disconnect via Meta Business Suite > Settings > Business Integrations
Revoking access automatically triggers deletion of your stored message data. You do not need to separately submit an email request.
